I am a Spanish Bilingual, Licensed Marriage Family Therapist who has worked in Hospitals, High School and College Mental Health Clinics, Foster Care agencies and for the last 10 years in my own private practice in Seattle, WA. I am currently working with individuals and couples in person and online in Seattle WA and online in CA.
With over 20 years experience as a marriage and family therapist it is an honor to work with people healing from Trauma, making challenging transitions in their lives, improving their relationships and attending to parts of themselves that in their extreme manifestations can cause noteworthy suffering.
I draw primarily on Internal Family Systems Self Leadership because it is a therapeutic model that believes in each of our inherent ability to heal with who we already are in our true essence. This model normalizes that we have many protective parts that work really hard so that our exiled hurt, scared and ashamed parts don't overwhelm us and when they are understood, helped to unblend and can find updated roles in our system, we are able to unburden beliefs that no longer serve us and can experience and lead with more of the qualities already within us- Compassion, Curiosity, Courage, Connectedness, Confidence, Creativity, Calmness, and Clarity. I also love to work with clients with an IFS lense because it allows for other complementary approaches that they bring and I can offer that can also be very helpful on this healing journey. This includes but is not limited to mindfulness practices, ancestral wisdom and practices, the Enneagram and many more ways people are inspired to live their best lives.
